Arvest Bank Hires Simmons for Treasury Management Role

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Julie Simmons as senior vice president and regional sales manager for its Treasury Management division.

As such, Simmons will work with Arvest banks in Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. She is responsible for managing, supporting and growing the sales of treasury management products. Simmons has more than 23 years of industry experience.

“Her track record speaks for itself, and her expertise will benefit not just Arvest, but more importantly, our clients,” said Carolyn Kennedy, senior vice president and executive director of Arvest Treasury Management. “We are delighted to add Julie to our team and know she will be an invaluable asset as we continue to transform the way we bring great advice via our products and services to our clients and business owners in the trade territories we serve.”

Simmons earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Northeastern State University. Among other civic endeavors, she served as an ambassador and social chair for the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce, and is a Leadership Broken Arrow graduate. Simmons has previously been an active member of the American Red Cross and United Way, among other organizations.

Arvest Equipment Finance Announces Staff Additions

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Eric Johnston and Jay Bankston. Both will serve as vendor business development representatives for Arvest Equipment Finance (AEF), a division of the bank.

AEF division president Eric Bunnell said the additions are a result of continued growth and expansion within its vendor program. They also come on the heels of AEF closing more than $161 million in new production in 2018 – a record total and 52 percent increase over 2017.

Johnston most recently worked for Caterpillar Inc., and also previously worked as a territory manager for IronPlanet. Johnston earned a bachelor’s degree in forestry at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a master’s in international business and supply chain management at Western Illinois University.

Bankston most recently worked as a regional sales manager for BigIron Auctions. He also has worked for IronPlanet and Victor L. Phillips Co. Bankston earned a bachelor’s degree in agri-business at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

“I am very excited to be able to add Eric and Jay, two knowledgeable and experienced sales reps to our AEF team,” Bunnell said. “Their expertise is evident, they know a lot of the equipment dealers in the areas where we do business, plus they are great team players that are excited to help us continue our growth and expansion. They will spend the majority of their time developing business with dealerships throughout the Midwest and Southeast.”

AEF also is pleased to announce the following staff additions related to the expansion of its vendor operations: Carrie Guire and Stacey Nichols, sales support specialists, and Mike Davis, asset manager.

Arvest Bank Hires Mostek

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Chris Mostek.

Mostek will serve as a senior vice president and commercial banker. In that role, he will work to develop loan and other financial solutions to fit commercial customers’ unique needs, with a focus on energy and real estate lending.

Mostek, who earned both a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s in business administration at Oklahoma State University, will be based out of the branch located at 3900 North Lincoln Blvd. He also is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Commercial Lending School.

Among other civic endeavors, Mostek has volunteered for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and currently volunteers at Bible Study Fellowship and Council Road Baptist Church. He and his wife, Keela, live in Oklahoma City and have two children.

Arvest Bank Hires Smith in McCurtain County

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Clint Smith.

Smith, who has more than 16 years of industry experience, will serve as a commercial lender. In that role he will generate, evaluate and approve commercial loans, among other duties. He will operate primarily in Broken Bow and Idabel, and their surrounding areas.

Smith earned an associate degree at Eastern Oklahoma State University and a bachelor’s degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State. He currently lives in Smithville.

“Adding Clint’s knowledge and expertise is a win for our team,” Arvest Bank community bank president Ted Sheets said. “He will be a fantastic asset not just for the bank, but more importantly, our customers.”

Arvest Bank Hires Henry

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Chase Henry.

Henry will serve as a commercial lender, generating, evaluating and approving commercial loans, among other duties. He has more than five years of industry experience.

“We couldn’t be happier to add Chase to our team,” Arvest Bank community bank president Ted Sheets said. “His knowledge and expertise will be a valuable addition to the bank, and more importantly, for our customers.”

Henry earned a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing at Arkansas Tech University and is working on a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Southern University.

Among other civic endeavors, Henry is a member of the Hatfield Volunteer Fire Department. He lives in Hatfield with his wife, Holly, and their two children.
